UNEB wants registration fees hiked

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has proposed to hike its registration fees by about 5%, in a bid to solve some of its financial woes.

The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has proposed to hike its registration fees by about 5%, in a bid to solve some of its financial woes.
UNEB Executive Secretary Mathew Bukenya said the 5% increment would cover spiraling costs of conducting examinations.
The fees currently stand at sh14, 000 for Primary level sh80, 000 for S. 4 exams and sh80, 500 for S.6exams).The increment could take UNEB fees to at least sh14, 700 for PLE; sh84, 000 (UCE) and sh84, 525 (UACE).
