Jennifer Musisi oils KCCA FC's appetite with bonuses

It was all smiles at KCCA Football Club Thursday as team members each got a $100 (sh246,500) boost for a job well done in Khartoum, where they beat home side El Merreikh 2-0 in the first leg.

It was all smiles at KCCA Football Club Thursday as team members each got a $100 (sh246,500) boost for a job well done in Khartoum.

Kampala City Council Authority Executive Director Jennifer Musisi offered the money in appreciation of the team’s away CAF Champions League win over El Merreikh.

Musisi on a visit to KCCA’s camp at Namboole, also used the moment to not only thank the team for the other victories it has attained, but also wished them luck in tomorrow’s return leg.

“I will pray to God to give you strength and confidence,” she assured the team adding that if they could beat El Merreikh away 2-0, they should be able to get an even much bigger win at Namboole.

She assured the club of financial backing to whatever stage it gets in the continental race.

“My job is to release money. That’s why your salary is always on time. Football is amongst our priorities because of the good mileage it gives us.”

She assured the team that a club bus will soon be available. “There are final touches being made on it to ensure that it measures up to the status of champions.”

KCCA will face off with visiting El Merreikh at Namboole Stadium in a second leg encounter

Club board member Peter Kibazo called on people to turn up in big numbers.

KCCA has worked jointly with city transporters Utoda Awakula ennume to avail buses.

The buses will move fans free of charge from City Square to Namboole and back. The arrangement will start at mid-day.

Students in uniform have free entry into Namboole. Tickets will go for sh10,000 in the main stands and sh20,000 and 50,000 in the pavilion and VIP section respectively.

Gates open at mid-day and tickets will be sold at the gate.
