Uganda Red Cross Society has issued a final summon to former boss Michael Richard Nataka for a disciplinary hearing.

A public notice issued by the Chairman, Interim Central Governance Board, Stephen Tashobya, Nataka must appear Wednesday January 22, 2014 at URCS headquarters without fail.

“Following several unsuccessful attempts to contact and/or reach to you using official and personal contacts known to Uganda Red Cross Society, the society regrettably is hereby constrained to use this form of notice to invite you on Plot 551/55, Rubaga Road on Wednesday, the 22 day of January 2014, starting at 2:00 p.m,” the notice read in part.

It added: “Uganda Red Cross Society at the same time takes this opportunity to request anybody of good will and who knows or is able to reach Mr. Nataka Richard Michael to bring this final notice to his attention.”

In November last year, the entire board of Uganda Red Cross (URC) hitherto headed by Robert Ssebunya was dissolved during a National Council extraordinary meeting.

This was after URC courted negative publicity when its secretary general, Michael Nataka, was in October last year implicated in fraudulent dealings.
