Pastors to get permits

Born-again Christians in Wakiso district have a plan to register all the churches in the area, starting with those in Nansana.

The chairman of the Born again Christians in Wakiso, Silver Kaweesi, said all churches are going to be registered and issued with permits.

This comes against the backdrop of allegations that several pastors sexually abuse and defraud their flock.

“A pastor who applies or registers with us will need recommendation from his LC, somebody to second him or her and a spiritual father who will also tell us about his background,” Kaweesi said.

This was revealed during a prayer conference organized by Born-again Christians in Wakiso district at Faith Healing Centre in Nansana.
