FRANCIS Olaki’s impressive form in the Super League has earned him a call to the national soccer team.

The Soana striker is among players Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has summoned to prepare for a friendly against Iraq next Wednesday. 

The game, due to have been held earlier this year, will be held in Amman, Jordan.

Olaki, a young brother to Etoile Du Sahel’s Emmanuel Okwi and URA defender Martin Opolot, is the current league top scorer with six goals from four matches.

“I have speed. I know it and they even tell me. I am faster than the current top strikers and that is what I will rely on,” said the player, who is praying that his passport comes out in time to allow him earn his first cap against Iraq.

Olaki, who last year sat for his senior six at Mushariki High school, where he offered History Economics Divinity and Fine Arts says he is ready for the challenge ahead. “I only need to get that chance and I will not disappoint,” he promised.
