Father and son killed in Mubende accident

TWO people were confirmed dead in a fatal accident involving a trailer and double cabin pick up on Sunday night.
The accident occurred at Myanzi, about fifteen kilometers on the Mityana–Mubende highway when the double cabin pick up registration number UAV 306J rammed into a trailer, registration number KAU 179K.
One of the deceased was identified as Eldad Mukiza, the revenue officer for Kibaale district local government.
Mukiza died with his son, who he was traveling with after picking him from school in Kampala, for holidays.
According to the traffic officers at Mityana police station, three other people had been admitted in Mityana Hospital in critical condition.
Eyewitnesses blamed the accident on the driver of a taxi, which was trying to branch off from the main road.
