KENYAN president Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in Uganda for a three-day state visit that is expected to be dominated by bilateral talks on trade, regional security and the ambitious infrastructural projects under the Northern Corridor that the two countries share.
Kenyatta accompanied by his wife Margaret was received by Uganda's foreign affairs minister, Sam Kutesa, at Entebbe International Airport before proceeding to State House Entebbe where he was received by his host, President Yoweri Museveni and first lady Janet Museveni.

Clad in a pinstriped dark grey suit, a jovial Kenyatta was welcomed by a host of government ministers, Uganda's ambassador to Kenya, Angelina Wapakhabulo, Chief of Defense Forces, Gen. Katumba Wamala and Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura.
Before disappearing into the imposing edifice that is State House Entebbe for a tête-à-tête with his host, Kenyatta received a 21 gun salute.
The Kenyan head of state is expected to address the Ugandan parliament on Monday and before that, a meeting with Kenyan business community tomorrow is on the cards.

Sworn in as Kenyan president in April 2013, this is Uhuru's first state visit to Uganda.
However, his presidency has seen a marked improvement in relations between Uganda and Kenya that has been highlighted by huge infrastructural projects like the multibillion dollar standard gauge railway that is set to link Uganda and Rwanda to Kenya's maritime port of Mombasa.
