Multiple Industries Cricket League DIV I

Tornado v Patidar

(Tornado wins by walkover)

Wanderers 226/3, SKLPS 103

(Wanderers win by 123 runs)

ARTHUR Ziraba hit a century as Wanderers beat SKLPS to increase their chances of finishing on top of the Multiple Industries Cricket League.

But Wanderers’ celebrations were checked by the fact that their title rivals Tornado B got maximum points without breaking a sweat, as they handed a bye over Patidar who were a no show at Entebbe.

Ziraba hit 110 runs before he was clean bowled by Deepak Limbani (2/46). It was just moments after Lumbani had seen off Humphrey Kayondo for 87, caught by Shaivelish in the slips as Wanderers, who won the toss set SKLPS 226 to chase.

It was always going to be a tough chase with Hamzah Saleh (3/12) and Davis Karashani (2/11) making early inroads for Wanderers. Only Shahikerai (34) managed a notable score as SKLPS were all out at 103 to give Wanderers a huge win and also earn a bonus point.

In the other top division game, the umpires gave Tornado B a bye after Patidar failed to show up for their game at Entebbe.
