Police in Kampala are hunting for unidentified thugs who murdered two security guards and another city resident.

One guard and the civilian were murdered on Tuesday night while the other guard was killed on Sunday night.

Hakizamana Hamuza, 50, attached to Savana Security Company was reportedly hit on the head with a huge stone killing him instantly.

The incidence took place on Tuesday night at Lukuli, Makindye division on an unidentified premise where the deceased was guarding.

Joram Kanamugira, 58, a private guard then using bow and arrow was also murdered on Sunday night at Modern Engineering Garage in Kabusu, Nateete, a city suburb where he was guarding.

According to Kampala metropolitan police spokesman Ibin Ssenkumbi, Kanamugira was strangled with a belt before his body was abandoned on the company premises.

Meanwhile, one John Bosco, 35, a casual laborer was lynched by mob in Ganda village, Nansana, a city suburb. Police accused a city businessman identified as Christopher Muyimbwa and his accomplishes of masterminding the murder.

“The deceased had gone to seek an odd job from Muyimbwa when he was mistaken for a thief and lynched,” narrated Ssenkumbi.

Police has since arrested Adrin Sabakaki and Josephine Nakimala, both relatives of the run-away Muyimbwa in connection with the murder. The duo is detained at Ganda police post
