POLICE in Fort Portal is holding two people suspected of having killed a 48-year-old man.
Two love birds identified as John Mutegeki 18 and his girlfriend Oliver Tuhaise all hailing from Kiko town Council in Kabarole district are said to have killed Edward Kiiza Mujasi of the same area.
It is alleged that Mutegeki on Saturday at around 11pm, hit Mujasi on the head with an iron bar killing him instantly.
According to Joshua Tusingwire the Fort Portal police OC CIID, Mutegeki hit Mujasi while they were at a wedding party.
Mutegeki is said to have suspected his girlfriend of cheating on him and when he found her seated with Mujasi he decided to hit him.
Mujasi’s body has been taken to Fort Portal Regional referral hospital mortuary.
