He revealed this while addressing the Buganda Lukiiko (Parliament) at Bulange Mengo on Monday.

"We cannot dispute government's claims because it was bought around 1965. Central government has given its facts and we are also going to gather our facts to prove," he said.

Mayiga stressed that they will write to the Rolls Royce Society for proof because records are still available.

The car is one of the items that Mengo is still demanding from central government.  Government handed over 82 land titles to Mengo, bringing the number of returned titles to over 300.

At the same sitting, members passed a sh8.9bn budget for the financial year 2015/2016. In his reaction Katikiro said it was a too small a budget to run the kingdom's numerous projects.

He asked Mengo officials to identify other avenues to raise more funds for kingdom activities.

Mayiga also informed the Lukiiko that the Kabaka will be opening the 23rd sitting of Buganda great Lukiiko on 3rd August.
