Mbogo mixed Hajats spice up schools basketball

Unlike in the opening games that had little supporters, the crowd at Mbogo mixed excited the organisers and if it was the rules providing for the rotation of the games to all schools, Mbogo would host the remaining games.

Unlike in the opening games that had little supporters, the crowd at Mbogo mixed excited the organisers and if it was the rules providing for the rotation of the games to all schools, Mbogo would host the remaining games.

The Hajats in their veils cheered all the best players on court but most especially their own Mpola Akiramu who was the shortest boy and also looked the youngest of the players of the day.

In the games played, Eric Shema and Hamdan Matovu scored a game high 16 and 9 points respectively to give hosts Mbogo Mixed Pistons 34-17 win over Ndejje Wizards.

Shema and Matovu were also on form when they registered another 17 and 6 points respectively in the 31-30 defeat of Kinawa High School –Pacers in a tightly contested game.
 
Exodus defeats Kinawa and Ssaku

Oscar Malakira and David Musinguzi scored 12 and 6 points respectively to give Exodus Miami Heats a 34-26 victory in the JR. NBA basketball league at Mbogo Mixed campus in Kawanda.



 

The win boosted their moral leading to the team's second win 37-26 over Ssaku Secondary school in their second game of the day.

Coaches impressed with JR NBA skills

Hamza Nyambogo the tournament head of technical told New Vision after the Saturday games at Mbogo Mixed School that he was not only impressed but also overwhelmed by the level of skills the children have.

"Actually at this level the coaches has only to work on communication, ball passing and shooting only but to be honest am much impressed with the skills," Nyambogo stated.
