Arua district fisheries department has received fish farming equipment to boost aquaculture in the district.

Arua district fisheries department has received fish farming equipment to boost aquaculture in the district.
The equipment received include wheel barrows, lime, pipes, measuring tapes, nets and feeds mainly for opening and managing ponds.
Farmers in Arua are expected to benefit from the inputs after the selection and training is done.
The inputs have been received with funding from the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and the project period is three years.
The district fisheries officer Arua, Christopher Andima anticipates an increase in fish farming after the procurement of the equipment.
