KAMPALA Capital City Authority (KCCA) Leopards will continue their Airtel National Basketball League title pursuit with a game against Gladiators today.

The team, seeking to retain the women’s crown, will be in action at the YMCA courts Wandegeya.

KCCA’s experience will again be an important factor in today’s show like in previous games in the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) annual contest so far.

The team will look to a number of their seasoned players including Flavia Oketcho and Monica Siima as they seek to cement their title drive.

They face the less experienced Gladiators. The teams are meeting for the second time this season. KCCA defeated their rivals 80-26 in the first round game held last month.

They will play a third game given that there are fewer teams in the women’s event (8) than in the men’s category (12).

The men’s event has first and second round games to determine the playoff qualifiers due later in the year.

At the same time, Isaac Afidra’s Power defeated Titans 67-64 in the men’s event on Friday.

In the other game of the day, Rangers beat Sparks 46-33 in the women’s event.
