Former NTV news anchor Rosemary Nankabirwa, 37, was laid to rest at her ancestral home at Kanoni in Kyanamukaka Sub-County in Masaka district.
Nankabirwa succumbed to a rare form of cancer at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi over the weekend.
The Vice President Edward Ssekandi attended the burial. Ssekandi appreciated the role Nankabirwa played as journalist saying the nation had lost a gallant daughter.
