Bad Black's Ssentongo wins property case

The Commercial Court has ordered property valued at over sh7b belonging to Meddie Ssentongo the former lover of city socialite Shanita Namuyimbwa aka Bad Black, which was attached on the order of the Anti-Corruption Court be released.

High Court Judge Henry Adonyo yesterday, issued the order after dismissing an application in which Daveshan Development Company directors David Greenhalgh and Namuyimbwa alias Bad Black had sued businessman, Meddie Ssentongo for defrauding them of USD 3m.

The court also ordered the company directors to pay costs of the suit to Ssentongo.

Bad Black is currently serving a 4-year prison sentence for embezzling funds from the company while Ssentongo recently completed his 18-month jail term for conspiracy to defraud.
