Museveni meets North Korea's security minister

President Yoweri Museveni has met with a visiting North Korean delegation.

President Yoweri Museveni has met and held discussions with the visiting North Korean delegation led by the Vice Minister for People's Security Ri Song Chol at State House in Entebbe.

Museveni and his guestson Friday discussed a wide range of bilateral issues concerning the two countries. North Korean is already offering support to Uganda’s police force in terms of training, including in martial arts, the development of the marine unit and the transfer of medical expertise.

The Vice Minister Ri Song Chol was accompanied by and the North Korea Ambassador to Uganda Jong Thae Yang, theDeputy Director General of the Department of Surveillance and Investigations Jong Unj Chol and the Deputy Director of General External Security Affairs, Ri Song Hyok.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Disaster Preparedness Hon. Hillary Onek and IGP Kale Kayihula.
