As family, relatives, friends and fans come to terms with the untimely death of singer Emmanuel Mayanja aka AK 47, his girlfriend has revealed that she had dreamt of his death the day before his demise.

A mother of 4-month old twins, Maggie Kiweesi just returned from the US two weeks back. She said AK 47 seemed distant, and perturbed.

“Since my return AK always came home at dawn. He seemed perturbed and we did not talk much.

He would return just to change clothes and leave. When I called him he would say, "Sweetheart I'm around I'm coming back."

Kiweesi also narrated a chilling dream she had of her boyfriend's death, more like a premonition.

"The night (Sunday) before his death I dreamt AK - like she fondly called him - had died. In the dream, one of my twins, Nakato, said it was sad that dad had died, but the boy, Wasswa, said he did not care...I awoke then, terrified, and did not sleep till morning."

On Monday morning, she narrated; AK returned after a night out and said he wanted to take his King's crown somewhere. He also picked some of his clothes and left.

"In the evening," she said, " he called and asked me 'are the twins fine?' This took me aback because he hardly asked how they were doing."

I responded that they were fine though sleeping. At 11.30 pm, I received news that AK was dead.

In a teary, distant voice, Kiweesi adds, "I have to see to it that the twins are well."

After a thoughtful pause, she continues, "At first I thought it was a prank by his ‘Team No Sleep’ members but a friend of his, Sheila Patience, Big Eye's girlfriend, came home and told me to go to Nsambya because it seemed AK had passed on.

At that moment I recalled the dream I had... when we got to hospital I saw Chameleone in tears and confirmed AK was dead. He walked up to me and said "my dear, Emma is dead."

Even though we had misunderstandings AK was a caring person, and had told me he wanted to compose a gospel song because he felt the presence of the Lord all the time.

"My Ssaalongo, rest in peace..." Kiweesi prayed, as her voice waned.

During a public viewing of the body at National Theatre Tuesday evening, Chameleone attested to Kiweesi's narration. "She told me she had dreamt of his death," he told mourners.

A close friend also gives credence to the misunderstandings the two had. Kiweesi had just returned to AK 47's home following a separation spell. She first put up with his brother Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso, but left when his fiancée jetted into the country because she felt uncomfortable.

She then moved in to AK's manager, Jeff Kiwanuka's home, with her babies.

With a promising music career taking shape, AK 47 already had property to his name. He was constructing a house near his mzee's home in Seguku, Katale.
