Fifth-placed Free Stars hit five past Mukono United, emphasizing their statement to the teams that lie above them in the Uganda Regional League.

It was the kind of start the visitors needed to the second round of the league, and they will feel resuming contention with a clean sheet will more than boost their confidence.

Free Stars drew first blood early courtesy of a 11th-minute Mark Okello strike at the Ntawo ground.

The impressive striker made it a brace in the second half after Simon Semakula had fired home the second early in the first half.

Brian Muteesasira was brought on deep in the first half, replacing goal-scorer Semakula and he did not disappoint coach-player Jimmy Mwera’s decision.

He netted the fourth in the 75th minute before completing the rout with his double nine minutes before stoppage time.

All this while, the hosts failed to reply and were left to ponder what really went wrong on home ground.

Musuto Brian and alfah were shown matching orders after Musuto retaliated against Alfah and the opponent lost control which resulted into a fight.

The 5-0 scoreline was not the only dramatic feature of the match. Both sides lost a player. Brian Musuto and Alfah were shown red after they engaged in a melee.
