Former national motocross champion Arthur Blick Jr. targets wining this year’s MX1 title and the National Rally Championship (NRC).


Blick disclosed his intention yesterday in a press briefing at SpeedWay Quick Fix Garage in Rubaga during the launch of the opening motocross event due Febuary 15 in Busiika.

“Last year I relaxed a bit and lost the title to Maxime. But this year I am very serious and going for both the MX1 and NRC titles,” Blick stated.

This year is going to be an exciting season because many riders are getting new bikes, but I will give the youngsters a run for their money,” the 10-time motocross champion warned.

Blick will face a challenge from defending champion Maxime van Pee, Jojo Wilson and Talha Kiggundu.

The Busiika event will also have a guest rider from USA and budgie test runs in preparation for the inaugural competition later this year.

Meanwhile former German motocross champion Jurgen Kupper will on Sunday train Uganda riders at Busiika in preparation for the season opener at the same venue.
