Multiplex employees have downed tools over non-payment of November salaries.

The striking workers staged a peaceful march to their offices on Parliament Avenue from where they were advised to proceed to the head office located on Nakasero road for an official communication.

Operators of commuter taxis, who are usually charged a fee for stopping by the road sides, enjoyed a tax-holiday as no charges were levied on them. For this they urged the striking employees to continue.

Alex Kivumbi, one of the employees faulted multiplex for non-payment of salaries saying the trickle-down was affecting him as his landlord was forcing him out of the house for non-payment of rent.
