Today, International tune-up fight

Tugume (UGA) v Szabo (HUN)

KICKBOXER Titus Tugume has decided to give his Western region fans a taste of the growing sport with a home fight against Hungarian Szabo Sador Tibor today.

The seven round bout that will be staged at Agip Motel in Mbarara, is a non-title tune up fight ahead of Tugume’s show down with Uganda’s motor-mouth Moses Golola in June.

Tugume says he chose to stage the fight in Mbarara following unprecedented requests from fans in Western Uganda to have an international fight in the region.

“I have decided to take this fight back home because my home fans have for a long time wanted to watch me live in the ring and Mbarara is central to all the Western areas,” Tugume said.

Tugume, who is ranked 18th in the world’s super middle weight category, says he is well tuned for the Hungarian.

“I have been doing a lot of training and I feel in good shape now. I hope to have a walk over Szabo,” Said the confident UPDF fighter.
