Navio ventures into film industry

Besides the multiple continental award wins and nominations rapper Navio has enjoyed for his music, we have established that he is venturing into the film industry as well.

And despite currently being in the UK for official business, Navcorp, the entertainment company he co-owns with his brother, is not sitting back and waiting for his presence to move things.

Word is that the company has finished Navio’s first documentary This is my Family, which will not only premiere, but also be featured among the films to be shown at the Nile Diaspora Film Festival, taking place this weekend at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. 

Critics are wondering if this documentary will garner as much attention as his hip-hop gig, but for someone who has just recently collaborated in music with former Big Brother contestant and singer Goldie Harvey, also one of Nigeria’s richest women, that might add to the richness of the documentary.
