As the clock ticks away, preparations for Uganda’s biggest fun moment, the Club mega fest slated to take place this Saturday September 20, 2014 at the Nelson Mandela national stadium are in high gear.

The state of the art rolling stage, managed by Fenon Events is almost ready with all the equipment being used, brand new.

Speaking during the site visit of the venue earlier today, Club beer brand manager, Samuel Hooper assured Ugandans to expect the best, a world class concert.

“All our four international artists will be here by Friday night; ready to give all of us a mouth-watering lifetime experience.

Mafikizolo, Burna Boy and Patra will arrive here Friday morning while Shaggy will arrive on Friday night,” he said.
To spice up the fun, 20 more local artistes are expected to perform at the much awaited concert.

Gates will be open as early as 11:00am on Saturday while entertainment kicks off at noon and will go on till midnight, making it 12 hours of full-blast entertainment.

“Tickets for the general section will only be obtained at the gates and the fans in this section will sit in the middle of the pack. The tickets will be going for Ush20,000,” Hooper said.

“The VIP and VVIP tickets will go for Ush50,000. They can be bought from supermarkets like Nakumatt, Game, Shoprite and Oryx petrol stations among other centres. All authorised centres have the Club mega fest posters,” he added.

Considering the size of the venue and the huge numbers of revellers expected, security has been biffed up to ensure the safety of everyone that will turn up for the fest.

“A total of 1000 police officers and 300 security operatives from private firms will be deployed in and around the stadium because security is top priority at such a big celebration,” Hopper explained.

Asked whether the concert won’t be interrupted by power blackouts like it happened recently as the Uganda Cranes played Guinea, Jenkins Mukasa, the manager Fenon events said that all their equipment will be operating on powerful generators throughout the concert, ruling out any such unfortunate incidences.

Hooper, in his final remarks called upon all Ugandan music lovers not to miss this opportunity with over 24 artistes performing live.
