Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) women’s team will start the new week on top of the national league table if they beat champions Ndejje on Friday.

VVC, handled by Hannington Nsubuga, will battle at the MTN Arena, Lugogo.

Nsubuga’s team, eyeing a trophy in their debut season, will get a big boost with victory today.

They will play one more game tomorrow and two on Sunday in the annual Uganda Volleyball Federation competition.

But Nsubuga will need to patch up mistakes that saw his side succumb to a 3-2 defeat against Ndejje in the first leg at the same venue in June.

They have won 13 of their 15 matches and are placed third behind Ndejje and Nkumba in the first two positions.

If VVC win all their matches, they will qualify for the playoffs as women’s table leaders.

“With due respect to our opponents, it is only Ndejje VC that can put up a fight against us and not KAVC or Mulago,” Nsubuga said.

VVC will face KAVC and Mulago in their other fixtures.

In the men’s category, KAVC-A and Sport-S are also set for the top of the table clash at the Lugogo facility.
