Northern region re-asserted their dominance in the Inter-Region Darts Championship after posting victory in Arua over the weekend.

Northern region re-asserted their dominance in the Inter-Region Darts Championship after posting victory in Arua over the weekend.


The champions rounded up the victory in style as they whipped hosts West Nile 9711 in the final at Pacific Hotel.

Following the triumph, Mathias Okwir vowed that his side will never let go the trophy again.

“We are working hard to make sure that we keep this trophy. Others will have to wait for many years to come,” he said.

Buoyed by Police Darts club marksmen in Okwir, Patrick Ochieng, Geoffrey Onen Northern Region Darts Organisation (NOREDO) proved unstoppable in the event.

Other players who stood out for NOREDO were Jacob Okidi,Charles Okumu, David Okidi, Emmanuel Oyat, James Ociti, Sande Amwoy and Mercy Otiko.

Those who propped up West Nile included Jonathan Taban, Jimmy Anecho, Isaac Passi, Isaac Berocham and Daniel Berocan.

NOREDO, dominated the event previously before Eastern stole the show in 2011 and 2012.
