THE Castle Lite All Stars basketball tournament lived to its billing with ‘the Stars’ providing fans the thrill and much needed excitement at the MTN Arena on Friday.

The absence of Tiger Head Power and City Oil stars did not matter as the available cast produced all the action that is worth an All Stars event.

Musical performances, freebies and cash spiced up the excitement as fans walked off with cash. Two ladies who scored three-point challenge attempts were the biggest winners on the night among the fans walking off with$100 each from the Congolese ambassador to Uganda who was among the VIP guests.

Ivan Enabu’s quick feet and hands were also rewarded with sh500,000 after he topped  the Roke Telecom skills challenge; which must have motivated him in putting a great show that earned him the MVP award as well.

Enabu’s skills did not only thrill the capacity crowd that filled the arena but also the ambassador who left contemplating an offer of flying Enabu to the USA so that he can earn from his skills.

Guest of honour Soroti municipality MP Mike Mukula, Singh Katongole, Kampala Metropolitan Police commander Andrew Felix Kaweesi and Urban TV’s Mary Luswata added to the thrill by attempting to score two point attempts which they all missed to add to the fun.

Maureen Amoding was women MVP while Barbara Okot won the Castle Lite shooting challenge with Julius Lutwama topping the Pepsi dunking competition.

The Eastern conferences in both the men and women categories won the basketball action.
