The national soccer governing body (FUFA) has shortlisted 44 referees to undergo fitness and medical tests next week at Mandela National stadium, ahead of both the Super League and the Big league kick off.
The FUFA Competitions Directorate on Thursday set August, 28 as the tentative date for the kick-off of the Big league that has attracted 25 clubs and will be divided into two pools.
The exercise will start next week August 14-16, 2014 -with medical tests and then fitness tests. The tests will be carried by newly appointed national referees physical fitness instructors Ali Kalyango and Mohammed Ssegonga.
The Fitness test for both FIFA and National referees is meant to check the referees consistence before the season’s competitions kick off.
