NSSF gives fans 100 tickets to watch volleyball

NSSF has offered 100 tickets to lucky volleyball fans to watch the 18th edition of the NSSF KAVC International championships at the MTN Arena, Lugogo on Saturday and Sunday.

NSSF has offered 100 tickets to lucky volleyball fans to watch the 18th edition of the NSSF KAVC International championships at the MTN Arena, Lugogo on Saturday and Sunday.


The annual competition which is one of the biggest international club events in Uganda has attracted teams from the local leagues, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania. DRC and South Sudan are yet to confirm their participation.

NSSF public relations officer Victor Karamagi said that other than their offer to sponsor the championship, the fund thought it wise to give out free tickets to attract big a crowd to support volleyball and Ugandan clubs in particular.

“As sponsors, we will give the tickets for the fans to watch volleyball and support our clubs against foreign teams. We want to encourage fans to watch volleyball,” Karamagi said.

The tickets will available for fans to win starting Tuesday. To win a ticket to watch the matches a fan will have to like the NSSF facebook page www.facebook.com/nssfug and answer questions there.

Successful contestants will pick their tickets either at KAVC offices in Lugogo or the NSSF in Kampala.

The 2014 edition that will also run at MUBS in Nakawa and Namboole and the MTN Arena before the finals in Lugogo has big name local artists Cindy Sanyu, Jacky Chandiru and Irene Ntale to spice it with performances.
