Radio veteran Mawadri joins tv

REMEMBER Christine Mawadri? She was a breakfast show queen and a mainstay on Uganda’s FM radio airwaves from way back in the 1990s.

But she quit the airwaves some good years back, recently bouncing back, but on managerial level and running Top Radio as general manager, then most recently Dembe FM in the same position.

With change of ownership at Dembe FM recently, Mawadri’s general manager position was scrapped. But thanks to her connections, we have learnt Mawadri has joined a management position at Zuku TV, whose Ugandan franchise is run by tycoon Patrick Bitature, previously owner of Dembe FM.
