URA football club midfielder Yayiro Lutimba yesterday joined Cranes U-20 training camp at Nakivubo stadium after recovering from injury.

Lutimba picked up an injury on the left ankle during a training session in Tanzania with his club during the CECAFA Club Championships.

The injury forced Lutimba to miss the first leg on Saturday at Nakivubo but in his absence, the Hippos managed to beat Ghana 3-1.

U-20 head coach Paul Nkata was happy with Lutimba’s participation in the morning session but was concerned about his fitness levels.

"If he is ok then it is a big boost, but if he is not fully recovered than it will be a big blow because we need him in camp and in Ghana as well” Nkata stated after the session.

"Am happy he got through this intense training because we were testing their endurance having got a long weekend, I would love to have him on my final list.” he added.

However the midfielder looked fine throughout the lively session that lasted 2hrs and 30mins.

"I feel good being back on pitch and with my fellow players rather than training alone. I no longer feel pain and tomorrow, I expect the team doctor to give me the green light," Lutimba revealed.
