Three other candidates have emerged to take on Prof. Lillian Winifred Tibatemwa-Ekirikubinza, who had initially not been dared in the race for the Deputy Vice Chancellors (Academic affairs) job.

Prof. Tibatemwa, will now tussle it out with Prof. Grace Bantebya Kyomuhendo, and two doctors; Peter Kakubeire Baguma and Abasi Kiyimba.

Tibatemwa in the absence of the Vice Chancellor performs the functions of the Vice Chancellor. She holds doctorate in Law (University of Copenhagen, Denmark) and is enrolled as an Advocate.

Tomorrow, the four will be making their public presentations in the Main Hall. The chairperson of the Search committee for this post Prof. Euzobia Mugisha in a statement released says this is part of the Search Committee’s process of selecting candidates who will be forwarded to the Senate.

Like the Vice Chancellor aspirants, the deputies were from the time of advertising notified that they would make public presentations as part of the interviewing process by the search committees.
