Africa Championahip, Saturday:
Uganda      v    Ghana (Nakivubo Stadium)

After an impressive 14 goals scored in three build up matches, Uganda Hippos head coach Paul Nkata is optimistic the U-20 side can tame Ghana’s Black Satellites in Saturday’s Africa Youth Championship qualifier.

Nkata ruled out more friendly matches after watching his youthful team trounce a mixture of current and ex-Cranes players 8-0 on Wednesday.

The Hippos had earlier beaten Lugave and a KCC select side.

The Ex-International’s team had current players including Sadam Juma, Steven Bengo, Godfrey Walusimbi and SC Villa’s Isaac Muleme.

“The team is ready now. We are waiting for Ghana,” Nkata stated after the friendly against the Ex-Internationals.

William Wadri and George Abege scored braces although the latter struggled throughout the game.

Abege has not been the same since he fell off a boda-boda and bruised his knee a week ago.

Vietnam-based midfielder Geoffrey Kizito came in as a substitute and impressed the coaches.

The Ghana Black Satellites delayed their arrival in Kampala by two days until Friday morning to mourn their deceased President Atta Mills.

The visitors will get a feel of the Nakivubo pitch later in the afternoon.

U-20 friendly results:
Hippos 8 Ex-players 0
Hippos 2 Lugave 0
Hippos 4 KCC Select 1
