URA finalised their preparations for the CECAFA Kagame Cup quarterfinal against Rwanda’s APR by welcoming back Owen Kasule, Oscar Agaba, Yasin Mugabi and Yayo Lutimba from injury.

“I have got a full squad at my disposal now and the boys are in good mood to tame APR, said URA head coach Alex Isabirye ahead of today’s encounter.

“It’s going to be a tricky game but when you want to be a champion you have to beat teams like APR”.

Meanwhile, APR tactician Ernie Brandy is optimistic his side will surpass the 2011 Uganda Super League champions if his talisman Olivier Karekezi performs to his best.

APR holds a trio of ex-URA players in Dan Wagaluka, Johnson Bagoole and Habib Kavuma and they are capable of upsetting their former employee.

In their last two meeting in this tournament, URA registered a 3-0 win in the group stage. APR beat URA 2-1 in 2007 final.

In the other quarter final, Tanzania’s Yanga will look to Cranes striker Hamis Kiiza, who has already chalked up four goals, when they take on Zanzibar’s Mafunzo.

URA’s probable starting line-up: Yasin Mugabi, Simon Masaba (capt), Sam Senkoomi, Derrick Walulya, Allan Munaaba, Oscar Agaba, Owen Kasule, Augustine Nsumba, Ali Feni, Robert Sentongo and Sula Bagala.
