The deputy director CIID Geoffrey Musana was Wednesday grilled for one hour for delaying to charge Jacqueline Uwera Nsenga after charges of murder had been preferred by the DPP.
Senior state prosecutor Susan Okalany told High court presided over by Duncan Gaswaga that the Police decided against the decision of the director of public prosecution (DPP) by keeping the suspect for long in safe custody.

Okalany said the DPP preferred charges of murder of Juvenal Nsenga Kananura against the suspect on March 20, 2013 but she was arraigned in court in July 15 charged and remanded to Luzira prison.
Meanwhile, Uwera’s father-in-law, Donald Kananura, and Faustine Misangwa, also had shares in properties which Uwera said belonged to her husband.
