Maxime Van Pee and Ali Omar Yasser emerged winners of the MX1 and MX85 cc categories respectively in the Nomi National motocross championship on Sunday July 20, 2014 at Garuga racing track.

Maxime, who gave his German trainer Jurgen Kuper little challenge, won the MX1 category beating traditional rivals Arthur Blick Jnr and Asaf Natan to stay on top of the table standings for the national championship crown.

Kupper, who overlapped all the other riders except Maxime and Blick, was impressed by the growth of the sport in the country and lauded Maxime for the improvement.

“There is a lot of improvement but the riders need to believe in themselves and feel the bike on the track,” Kupper stated.
Omar, Blick battle excites fans.

The battle between Ali Omar Yasser and Alistair Blick lived to its billing as it kept the fans on tension in all the three hits with the former emerging the victor.

Blick won the first two hits with Omar finishing second, but faltered in the last round when crashed and the tight finishing ninth to collect only 9 points as Omar won the event to collect maximum 20 points.

The victory handed Omar stretch on the chat to stay comfortably in the first position.

Jojo upsets Fatuh in the MX2 category

Jojo Wilson won the MX2category after defeating both Fatuh Kiggundu and his Uncle Ahmed Tamale in the exciting event at Garuga racing track.

Jojo’s victory built him confidence to target the national championship in the next three events remaining on the calendar.
“What I want is the national title and I can make it, I just want to win the remaining event,”Jojo stated.
