Joseph Kony, leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) has been forced to flee the Central African Republic (CAR). He is believed to be hiding in southern Darfur under the protection of militias loyal to Khartoum’s government of Gen. Omar el Bashir.

Kony was forced to abandon operations in the CAR after a combined force of Ugandan, South Sudanese and CAR armies made it impossible for him to continue fighting. The regional force of the three countries is supported by the Barrack Obama administration, which has availed support in the form of logistics, military training, intelligence sharing and assistance with coordination of operations.
