Ugandan jailed for robbing London bank

A Ugandan-born UK national has been sentenced to six years and ten months in jail in connection with a botched robbery in South London last year.

Brian Ocaya, 28, from Southwark Park Road, was part of a gang that ambushed a cash delivery man working for security company G4S as he delivered to Lloyds TSB Bank.

The group reportedly of the five men were arrested less than an hour later as they struggled to open the cash box.

Other two suspects are Baffour Amponsah, 25 and Daniel Collins, 28 who have also been sentenced to four and six years, respectively.

Ocaya and Amponsah were arrested by plain-clothes officers at Southwark Park Road, while Collins was arrested later.
