IF you thought diplomats are only into signing treaties and having closed-door meetings, think again.

Last weekend, our snoops who attended the Indian Musical Night at UMA, were in shock when the wife of India’s Ambassador to Uganda, Mrs. Ray, got the mic and sang for over five minutes, amid cheers from the crowd.

She was in the company of her husband, His Excellency, S.N Ray and other businessmen. When Mrs. Ray was invited to the stage, she was quick to say: “Ladies and gentlemen, I hope I will entertain you today, but bear with me because I am not a professional artiste.”

Some of the revellers cheered on throughout her performance. Of course her husband was impressed.
