Museveni in Ethiopia to discuss Africa's security

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is in Ethiopia for a Tana High Level Forum on the security of Africa

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni is in the Ethiopian city of Bahir Dar in the country’s Amhara region for a Tana High Level Forum on the security of Africa.

The President left the country early Saturday morning and was received by the Ethiopian deputy prime minister and foreign affairs minister Hailemariam Desalegn at Genhot Hua Airport.

The Amhara regional president, Ayalew Gobeze and Uganda’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Mull Katende also received Museveni at the Ethiopian airport.

 The President was treated to a red carpet welcome and also entertained to Ethiopian traditional dances.

The Tana High Level Forum on security of Africa is expected to discuss a number of issues concerning the security of the African continent as a whole and that of the Great Lakes’ Region in particular.

President Museveni is accompanied by the State minister for water, Betty Bigombe and Woman Member of Parliament for Iganga district, Kabaale Kwagala Olivia and George Stephen Ekuma for Bukedea Constituency.
