‘One who laughs last laughs better’. Cranes skipper Andy Mwesigwe now understands the say more than anyone else on this planet. Mwesigwa got a big smile after that disappointing defeat to Congo Brazzaville over a week ago where he had a poor game.

From Pointe Noire (Congo), Mwesigwa reported back to duty in Kazakhstan at his club FC Ordabasy’s in a Super Cup final clash with Shakhter Karagandy on Tuesday, which they won 1-0.

The Super Cup is contested between the Kazakhstan Premier League champions and their FA Cup winners, who are Ordabasy, just like the Community Shield in England.

It precedes the league kick-off; meanwhile they won their opening tie 2-3 away to Atyrau and Mwesigwa was vital in both wins especially in the cup final where he cleared one ball off the line.

Super Cup triumph Mwesigwa tallied to his second trophy since moving there from China last year. Let’s hope luck will follow him back home.
