CELEBRATED sports analyst, Daily Monitor columnist and soccer commentator Allan Ssekamatte is fairly wealthy by average standards. Why he doesn’t at least buy an nth hand car to ease his transport woes is only known to the man himself.

CELEBRATED sports analyst, Daily Monitor columnist and soccer commentator Allan Ssekamatte is fairly wealthy by average standards. Why he doesn’t at least buy an nth hand car to ease his transport woes is only known to the man himself.

He opened himself to ridicule when he haggled with boda boda cyclists outside Wankulukuku Stadium to no avail. A source
says Ssekamatte offered sh2,000 to be carried from Wankulukuku to the Monitor offices in Namuwongo, which was way below their sh5,000 valuations.

Seeing as he wasn’t about to give up on his offer, they advised him to buy chapati with the money and walk all the way munching away!

It isn’t the first time he is involved in arguments with cyclists over pay. Information from 8th street indicates that after failing to agree over the fare with cyclists around Shell Jinja road on numerous occasions, Ssekamatte usually walks to office.
There is even a joke at Monitor that whoever walks to office from Jinja road “Sekamatted”
