Back-to-back away defeats for Mongers could have ordinarily demoralized a midlevel team but the Entebbe side is upbeat ahead of a tricky tie with Heathens on Saturday.
Coming off narrow defeats to Buffaloes and Pirates in Kampala, Mongers are making every effort to make amends on their home ground dubbed ‘House of Pain’.

“The losses we suffered were very close and hard fought. At our home ground it’s normally harder for any team to survive. Last year Heathens survived through a late try by Robert Seguya. This time Heathens and other giants will fall in Entebbe,” Mongers coach/player Kigongo Ssebalamu said.

Kigongo and teammate Joseph Tamale whose case in the disciplinary committee is yet to be heard will feature in the match.

Injured John Wandikyo (forehead) and Isaac Wanyama (knee) are doubtful but the Entebbe side still fancies its chances of upstaging the champions.
“Injuries affect us in way but we are accustomed to working with a thin squad,” Kigongo stated.

Heathens who are second on 24 points, one behind rival Kobs, travel to Entebbe seeking a convincing victory.
Kobs will face off with Pirates in the Kampala Club derby that has a huge bearing Kobs’ title aspiration.

In Makerere xfm Impis will host Buffaloes while Rhinos take on Nile the early kickoff at Kampala Club.
