TENDER FOR FOOD GRAINS AND CONSUMABLES

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH - German Agency for International Cooperation - is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany with international operations. It implements commissions for the German federal government and other national and international, public and private-sector clients. Its development-policy mandate is to help improve the standard of living and future prospects of people in partner countries all over the world, whilst stabilizing the natural resource base on which life depends.

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the GIZ is implementing a Development-oriented Emergency and Transitional Aid project in the sub-region of Karamoja, North Eastern Uganda. For the implementation of this project, GIZ Office Kampala is inviting Bidders to submit, free of charge, and without obligation on part of GIZ, a bid for supply of food grains and consumables on the basis of the following terms and conditions. Non-conformity with all conditions mentioned could lead to the exclusion of the bid.

Bids should be submitted for any or all lots, provided the bid for each lot includes the requested quantity. Partial or incomplete bids may be considered non-responsive. Bid evaluations and contract awards will be made on individual lot basis and/or combination of lots basis, whichever is economically most advantageous to GIZ.
 

The Tender Document may be obtained free of charge by interested bidders from the Reception, GIZ Office Kampala, 23 Nakasero Road, Nakasero between 09.00 hours and 12.00hours.

Applications, in sealed envelopes, marked “GIZ-FNS Tender for Food Grains and Consumables PN 11.1815. 7-001.00” are to be submitted on or before Monday, February 13, 2012 at 3.00 p m (which is the closing date and time) to:
