UPDATE – Kampala Woman Member of Parliament Nabila Nagayi Ssempala is still in poor shape following Friday evening’s accident involving her car and a police patrol van.

Doctors at International Hospital Kampala (IHK) say they plan to scan her to establish the actual root of the pain.

Nabilah’s car rammed into a police vehicle along Namirembe road near Sanyu Babies Home on her way back from an Action for Change (A4C) rally the group had earlier staged at Wankulukuku stadium.

Initial reports indicate that the collision impact sent the Kampala woman MP slamming chest-first on the car board followed by her head. With the help of Dr. Kizza Besigye, who was part of the group, she was rushed to IHK in a critical condition.

The situation has not improved since then. Nabilah can neither speak nor see, according to her sibling who is taking care of her at her hospital bedside.

“She still has pains in her chest and head and cannot speak amid her unconsciousness.”

Doctors attending to Nabilah say they are waiting for the medicine they administered to her to reduce so they can go ahead and diagnose her.
