THE National University Sports Federation of Uganda (NUSFU) will send a football team to the inaugural University Soccer World Cup in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates next month.

THE National University Sports Federation of Uganda (NUSFU) will send a football team to the inaugural University Soccer World Cup in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates next month.

According to NUSFU general secretary Patrick Ssebuliba, Uganda will send a team to the Abu Dhabi to expose the talent in university students who competed in the just concluded NUSFU Games.

“We have 18 outstanding players we picked from NUSFU games,” Ssebuliba explained to New Vision Online in an exclusive interview.

Ssebuliba added that NUSFU was looking at Super League side Police FC’s Charles Ayeko and first division team Kyambogo’s William Butindo and as the coaching staff while KIU’s Patrick Ogwel has been named as the team manager for the trip.

NUSFU needs $12,000 (sh29m) to take care of the transport.
