FIVE key Express FC players could leave Wankulukuku as free agents during this mid-transfer window but coach Sam Ssimbwa has put a brave face insisting that he is not bothered.

Bunamwaya SC is chasing striker Edgar Luzige, who has scored five goals for the Red Eagles in the first round while two time Uganda Super League player of the month Boney Baiangana is headed for Rwanda.

National Football Governing body in Rwanda FERWAFA has already drafted Baingana on the national U-20 team that is expected to play as a club in the league starting next season.

“I know that Luzige and a number of other players could leave but I’m not bothered. It is too early for them but they are just excited,” Ssimbwa said yesterday.

Other Express players on the way out includeleague top scorer Julius Ogwang, Yusuf Juuko and Ibrahim Jjingo, who have indicated departure but they are not linked to any clubs yet.

Jinja based Victors FC has terminated the two year contract of former professional Nathan Mutenza, who joined the club at the beginning of the season for to poor performance.

Coach George Nsimbe said that Mutenza is dismissed together with Emmanuel Magembe and Nyanzi.

“Mutenza has not done what we expected from him when he was given a contract. We have agreed with him to terminate the agreement. I’m looking for new strikers now,” Nsimbe explained.

The transfer talk involving URA’s Augustine Nsumba and his team captain Manco Kaweesa to SC Villa has left the club officials divided.

One group wants the club to beef up the largely inexperienced squad with the players while the other group backed by the chairman Fred Muwema is siding with manager Mike Mutebi hesitant opting to recruit fresh players from lower division teams.

It is the second time Nsumba is being linked with a return to Villa Park after an earlier one last year failed when he extended his stay at URA.
