Gulu man fined sh150,000 for walking naked over beer

A 30-year-old man who walked naked for a bottle of beer on boxing day following a bet at a local bar.

A 30-year-old man who walked naked for a bottle of beer on boxing day following a bet at a local bar, in Lalogi trading centre was fined sh150,000. 

Peter Okeng 30, a Butcher is a resident of Opwoc village in Gem Parish, Lalogi Sub County in the northern district of Gulu. He stunned merrymakers in the bar, when he stripped naked after he was asked by a reveler for a bottle of beer.

Lilly Apio, one of the revelers at the bar, asked any willing person to walk naked across the road so that she bought him a bottle of beer.

Peter Okeng, who was desperate for a beer walked naked from the bar to the other side of the road after received a bottle of Eagle Lager beer there after.


A meeting organized by Moro Sarafino the Clan Chief of Puranga decided that Okeng should buy a goat  for cleansing rituals and a fine of sh85,000.


Vincent Ayoo, a bar owner was fined sh90, 000 for allowing Lilly Apio buy a bottle of beer to Okeng to walk naked in his bar 
Clan leaders slaughter a goat to performed rituals to cleanse Okeng for undressing in public which is an abomination in Acholi culture.
