KYENJOJO - The Police are holding a woman alleged to have aided the escape of 17 suspects from Kyenjojo Police Station last month. The western region Police spokesman, Elly Matte, identified the woman as Maureen Tusiime. He said Tusiime is suspected of smuggling a handsaw blade into the Police cells, which the escapees used to cut the iron bars. It is alleged that Tusiime’s husband was one of the suspects but the Police declined to reveal his identity, citing security reasons.
