EDITOR—The Government is right on the issue of CBS changing its location from Bulange.

This is because in case the next time they violate the broadcasting rules and Government storms their premises, they will not say the Government attacked the kingdom headquarters.

I am not surprised that they are against this because the status of Bulange has always offered them that security! Emphasis should be put on all media presenters who are not qualified for the profession. The Government, through the Communications Commission should design a professional code of conduct for every media practitioner to sign and abide by. There are so many individual presenters at many media houses who are employed just because of their celebrity status yet there are many unemployed professionals in that field! It is these so-called celebrities who mess up media houses and when the Government reacts with an iron hand, they say it is infringing on their rights and freedom to practise their profession! A distinction should be drawn between who is doing right and wrong. Is it those who are not qualified to practise those professions or the Government that closes media houses due to unprofessional conduct?

For those who continue to lie, including Dr Kizza Besigye, that the Government illegally closed CBS, should also tell the people about the role of the media in promoting the Rwanda genocide! We should judge right from wrong.
